"Love one another, but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls." Khalil Gibran
I couldn't not include mine and my husband's wedding which I spent so much time planning, coordinating and executing! We planned an intimate ceremony with 40 of our closest friends in rural Makawao, Hawaii. I spent a lot of time in Maui growing up, and I pulled a lot of my inspiration for our wedding from the island and the beauty it beholds. Our bamboo arch was adorned with plumosa fern, sword fern, orchids, palm and monstera leaves with macrame hanging behind. Our dinner guests' plates were nestled atop monstera leaf chargers and I added tall glass vases humongous elephant ears served as table numbers - each table number was written in gold leaf script and helped make the large tent feel more intimate and lush. Our centerpieces were a combination of brown amarathuns, hydrangea, garden roses, orchids, tuberose and the most beautiful blush anthurium I had ever seen. Our day was a dream, despite the threat of looming hurricanes! I made a point of incorporating florals everywhere, even in the cocktails our guests sipped and in the fountains strewn about the property.
